Louvers & tilt
Louvers from 1⅞ up to 4½ inches, depending on the collection. Wider louvers open up the view; narrower louvers give a traditional look. Choose a classic front tilt rod or Norman’s InvisibleTilt®, which hides the tilt mechanism behind the panel for a cleaner face.
Styles
Full height panels, café style on the lower half for privacy with daylight above, or tier on tier so the top and bottom open independently.
Specialty shapes
Circles, arches, angles, and bay windows, built to follow the exact shape of the opening.
Sliding & French doors

Plantation shutter questions we get asked
Should I choose real wood or faux wood shutters?
Real wood is lighter, takes paint and stain beautifully, and is the classic choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and offices. Faux wood resists moisture, so it is the better choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where humidity would warp real wood. Many homes use both, and we recommend room by room.
Can shutters go in a bathroom or shower?
Yes, with the right material. Norman AquaShield shutters are built for the wettest spaces, which is why we use them in bathrooms and even inside tiled showers.
Can you fit shutters on arched, angled, or odd-shaped windows?
Yes. Shutters are built to the exact shape of the opening, including circles, arches, angles, and bay windows. Specialty shapes are measured on site so the frame follows the window, not the other way around.
Do shutters work on sliding patio doors?
Yes. Norman’s Bi-fold 180™ shutter panels fold back neatly out of the way of a sliding door, so the door opens freely while you keep the same shutter look as the rest of the room.
