What is the difference between cellular and honeycomb shades?
Nothing. They are two names for the same shade. The honeycomb shaped cells trap air between the window and the room, which is where the insulation comes from.
Single cell or double cell?
Single cell shades are lighter and slimmer when raised and suit most windows. Double cell shades add a second layer of trapped air for more insulation and sound softening, which helps on large glass, older windows, and bedrooms.
Are cellular shades good for bedrooms?
Yes. Blackout cellular fabrics block light while the cell structure adds insulation, and they are one of the best choices for bedrooms and nurseries. Side channels can be added where you want the least possible light around the edges.
